RUM RUNNER

Southern Prairie Railway, Saskatchewan

Ride into the roaring 1920’s on this interactive historical experience. Guests are encouraged to get dolled up and join in on the fun. This time period is famous for gangsters smuggling alcohol into the United States through creative methods. While no smuggling actually takes place on this trip, there will be a visit from a “Bonnie and Clyde” like duo. After the journey, guests will be entertained with jazz and honky-tonk while enjoying authentic Italian food.

MAGICAL WIZARDS FESTIVAL

Waterloo Central Railway, Ontario

All Wizards and Witches are welcome at this festival filled with magic shows, owls, wandering performers, and potion classes. Stroll down Enchanted Alley and shop for your favourite mystical items. After partaking in the shows, classes, and music; hop on the Spellbound Prison Train. During the trip, your mission is to help safely transport two evil Wizards on their way to be tried for their crimes. Will good prevail? Be a part of the journey and find out.

GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY AT KETTLE VALLEY STEAM RAILWAY

British Columbia

Step back into the Wild West, a time when notorious cowboys robbed trains. Guests will want to make sure to bring extra change because the Garnett Valley Gang will be donating all their ill-gotten gains to local charities. Following the robbery by gun totting cowboys on horses, they serve up a delicious barbecue dinner at the Prairie Valley Station. Between the train ride, the cowboy’s antics, and banjo music, the fun never stops!

GHOST TRAIN

Kamloops Heritage Railway, British Columbia

Late one night, bystanders watch as a train mysteriously pulls into the Kamloops station with an eerie conductor leaning out hollering “All Aboard!”. This train welcomes all passengers, whether living or dead, so long as they have a ticket. The Halloween ride has become a spooky tradition for many looking for a spine-chilling experience. Enjoy a night of fright on the rails when the veil to the other side becomes thin.

These themed train rides highlight a form of travelling that has been popular for centuries. Riding along the tracks through the countryside sets a perfect stage for an adventure story. Hop on one of these trains to become part of an epic tale. Which far away land of mystery and adventure will you go to?

Respectfully acknowledge that I am located in the Traditional Wəlastəkwiyik land. And that this area is on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Wolastoqiyik, Peskotomuhkati and Mi’kmaq, respectively known as Wolastokuk, Peskotomuhkatik and Mi’kma'ki. These lands are covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship first signed with the British Crown in 1725, and then recognized and affirmed by Canada in section 35 of the Constitution Act of 1982. The treaties did not surrender the territory and resources but in fact recognized Wolastokuk, Peskotomuhkatik and Mi’kma'ki title, and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. I pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land.
