Enjoy a delightfully Middle Eastern Experience at Uptown Saint John’s Let’s Hummus

You will be transported to the Middle East when you experience Let’s Hummus’s newly renovated upstairs. You may already be familiar with their mouthwatering menu and fresh baklava. Combining those yummy flavours with the immersive atmosphere in the new Byblos Room takes it to the next level.

Walking upstairs and into the Byblos Room (named after Lebanon’s oldest city), will make you feel like you have flown into a cozy corner of a Middle Eastern City. Their attention to every detail is delightful with dark red fabric draped from the ceiling, soft pillows, and Lebanese music playing in the background. Each table has hot Arabic Tea (with hints of sage) and Arabic Coffee available for you to enjoy.

Everything on their menu is delicious and most everything is or can be made gluten-free! We devoured our Grape Leaves starter and ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate and Kafta Kabob Plate for our mains. Their serving sizes are very generous and we enjoyed our leftovers for lunch the next day. It was so relaxing sitting on their couches surrounded by comfy pillows. We did not want to leave!

They just added Lebanese juices to their menu. So of course I went back to try the Mango Juice and my friend ordered their Strawberry Juice. It was so good and I loved the presentation!

Reservations are recommended, or just ask at the front counter when you go in if there is a table available upstairs.

Respectfully acknowledge that I am located in the Traditional Wəlastəkwiyik land. And that this area is on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Wolastoqiyik, Peskotomuhkati and Mi’kmaq, respectively known as Wolastokuk, Peskotomuhkatik and Mi’kma'ki. These lands are covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship first signed with the British Crown in 1725, and then recognized and affirmed by Canada in section 35 of the Constitution Act of 1982. The treaties did not surrender the territory and resources but in fact recognized Wolastokuk, Peskotomuhkatik and Mi’kma'ki title, and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. I pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land.
