The History

Currently run by John and Chris, two twin brothers, this place dates back to 1971 when their dad, Theo, first opened up the doors. Theo’s restaurant was originally a diner and they have a small diner beside the restaurant as a tribute to him.

The Food

They take pride in their food and all the dishes are made in house, including all the sauces and desserts. If you have any dietary concerns, they can easily answer any questions that you might have about the ingredient lists. Our server was incredibly helpful with all the gluten-free questions that I had and the menu was clearly marked. Throughout the week from 11 am to 3 pm they offer a large selection of lunch specials. We all decided to order from their regular menu. Our table ordered several dishes. The Chicken Stir-Fry came out piled high on a tasty bed of rice full of herbs and spices. The Chicken Parmesan had a hearty portion of chicken and pasta that provided leftovers for lunch the next day. I ordered the Greek Lemon Chicken (gluten-free); my dish was a plate of goodness with tender and well seasoned Greek potatoes, two very large pieces of chicken with lots of lemon, and a fresh Greek salad.

At the entrance, they have a wide selection of Theo’s brand take-home items, (named after their father) including house-made Tzatziki, Hummus, Spinach Dip, and so much more! They also have a large selection of imported treats, teas, and olive oil from Greece.

Respectfully acknowledge that I am located in the Traditional Wəlastəkwiyik land. And that this area is on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Wolastoqiyik, Peskotomuhkati and Mi’kmaq, respectively known as Wolastokuk, Peskotomuhkatik and Mi’kma'ki. These lands are covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship first signed with the British Crown in 1725, and then recognized and affirmed by Canada in section 35 of the Constitution Act of 1982. The treaties did not surrender the territory and resources but in fact recognized Wolastokuk, Peskotomuhkatik and Mi’kma'ki title, and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. I pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land.
