You can find locations to skate in Saint John, NB on the City’s website here. The City of Saint John manages and maintains a section of the ice near Lily Lake Pavilion during the winter time, you can check their website to see when it’s safe & open to use.
It’s that time of year! It’s time to lace up and go skating! I’ve always loved skating outside, preferably on a lake. Lily Lake is ready and open for skating. I dusted off my skates for the first time this year (2022) and went out. Honesty, my skates and I were both a bit rusty, but it was amazing! There is nothing quite like skating outside when it’s snowing! A big thank you to the City of Saint John for maintaining and checking the ice for thickness.

Lily Lake is a great place to skate. It’s the perfect place for a date or activity with friends or family in your bubble. The restaurant is right there, a great place to grab a bit to go or sit in (when the dining area is open).
Location: Lily Lake is in Rockwood Park in the heart of Saint John, New Brunswick. Click here to see it on Google maps.
