Where to find Saint John Bubble Tea!

Uptown’s newest addition, Ami Tea House, is tea-riffic! They specialize in making all types of fresh bubble tea right in front of your eyes. If you are unfamiliar with this tea-licious drink, I like to describe it as a dessert that you can drink! But it’s so much more than that.

Opened by Phuong Thu Le in February 2021 you can find the shop on 73 King Street. Their menu has a fantastic variety of options to choose from. Have a look at “Step 1 Base” to decide what kind of tea or drink you would like. “Step 2 Flavor” is the different ways they can prepare that tea or fruity drink. “Step 3” is optional if you want to add or change out the tapioca, jelly, or boba. “Step 4” You decide how much sugar and ice you would like.

All the drinks are delicious! I usually choose a different drink depending on how I am feeling that day. We have enjoyed many different flavours so far. I typically order Black tea B03 (black sugar milk tea with pearl tapioca), it gives me caffeine happiness. I love mango and couldn’t resist ordering Fruity milk tea F02 (mango milk tea with pearl). I added mango boba to it for an extra pop of mega mango sweetness in my mouth. Find their full menu on their Facebook.

Respectfully acknowledge that I am located in the Traditional Wəlastəkwiyik land. And that this area is on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Wolastoqiyik, Peskotomuhkati and Mi’kmaq, respectively known as Wolastokuk, Peskotomuhkatik and Mi’kma'ki. These lands are covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship first signed with the British Crown in 1725, and then recognized and affirmed by Canada in section 35 of the Constitution Act of 1982. The treaties did not surrender the territory and resources but in fact recognized Wolastokuk, Peskotomuhkatik and Mi’kma'ki title, and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. I pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land.
