This city has a rich aviation history beginning with Canada’s first licensed airfield, Blatchford Field. Here is where the country’s first licensed flying club, the Edmonton and Northern Alberta Flying Club, formed its roots in 1927. The legendary Wilfrid R. “Wop” May, a Canadian air ace of the First World War, was the club’s first president. This button design was inspired by his president pin.

Did you know that Saskatchewan is home to the world’s largest Tyrannosaurus rex? You can visit “Scotty” at the T. rex Discovery Centre at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Eastend, SK. The Albertosaurus is Alberta’s closely related dinosaur to Saskatchewan’s T-rex. It does not matter which one of these two carnivorous creatures you come across in the wild, you should always let them cross first.

Found along the Northern shores of Nova Scotia, this unique dinosaur could walk on its hind legs. It was probably quite the show to watch it toddle along on just two legs. Located near where it was found is the Fundy Geological Museum. If you are looking to experience an active Jurassic dig yourself, they offer limited tours during the summer months when the tides are low enough.
