Exploring the beautiful streets of uptown Saint John is a favourite activity for locals and tourists alike. Here you will find hidden cafes, little shops, historic brick buildings, and artistic murals. When I moved back, I loved seeing so many murals painted throughout the uptown area. Having just moved back from Edmonton, it all feels very familiar as that city is also passionate about murals. There is even a map of them in Edmonton, created by local travel blogger Linda Hoang, and she also offers tours of these Instagrammable Walls. I was inspired by her to create a photogenic mural map of uptown Saint John. This map will help show visitors and locals where to find fun public art to take the best uptown Saint John NB photos.
Note: Last updated Oct 2023. Most of the murals are located in the uptown Saint John area and nearby surrounding area.
If you know of any Photogenic Murals in the main Uptown area that are not on this list, let me know. I love discovering new works of art!
& if you know more about the murals or the artists who have created them, please share it with me so I can give the artist credit.

This 40ft mural was painted by Sean Yoro (@the_hula) during the summer of 2019. This is his second ocean mural creation made while floating on a surfboard going up and down with the Atlantic tides.
