KŌV Nordic Spa: A Wood-Fired Retreat Near Saint John

Have you ever wanted to relax and unwind in a beautiful outdoor spa surrounded by nature? Well, at KŌV Nordic Spa, I got to do just that! I visited the spa for a friend’s birthday celebration.

We did a road trip from Saint John NB to Bocabec, it’s just an hour away. I loved the spa’s outdoor vibe. It had a cozy, rustic feel that immediately put me at ease. We were welcomed by the friendly owners who explained everything about the spa and made us feel right at home.

The highlight of our visit was definitely the KŌV Thermal Cycle Ritual, a hot-cold-rest process. We started off in the wood fire hot tub, which was a delightfully warm and cozy experience. Took a dip in the cold tub, a chill-axing experience. After that, we rested around the outdoor fireplace and inside the Lagom Lounge, swaying in the swinging chairs and enjoying the cozy atmosphere. Finally, we repeated the process a few times before lounging again. I really liked the wood-fired sauna; it was so cozy I never wanted to leave!

I have to admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of the cold, so I only did the plunge a few times. But for the more adventurous types, you can cold plunge into the nearby ocean and make a splash! Even though I didn’t take the plunge, the rest of the process was so rejuvenating that I left feeling energized.

Our booking was for the private experience for our group of eight, which gave us a four-hour session to enjoy all the amenities. They didn’t include any food, but they had water and tea on hand to refresh us. We brought our own snacks, which worked out great to accommodate the gluten-free requirements of some members of our group.

I enjoyed KŌV Nordic Spa so much that I even bought a ticket for their Self Care Retreat this weekend. IT includes guided meditation and individual and group exercises in their cozy lounge, followed by the KOV Nordic Spa experience and free time to unwind.

So, if you’re looking for a rejuvenating outdoor spa experience, I highly recommend checking out KŌV Nordic Spa. It’s the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back!
